Bernhard Meat Market
A website for a Kerrville meat market and wild game processor, plus an online store for its sister brand.
Bernhard has run a meat market and wild game processor in the Texas Hill Country since 1952, now on Junction Highway just east of Ingram. We rebuilt their website for the two kinds of customers who walk in, meat market shoppers and hunters. We also designed Wyatt & Sons, an online meat market with subscription boxes, recipes and a meat guide.
Kerrville, TX
The brief
A meat market website for shoppers and hunters.
A family shopping for brisket and a hunter with a deer in the truck bed need different information. The website splits into Meat Market and Processing in the navigation, and keeps the address, hours and phone number on every screen.
Website
A website for a Hill Country meat market.
The homepage uses heavy condensed capitals for the headline, a gold serif for the date and a photo of the real storefront. A ticker across the top shows the season, the hours and the phone number. Get Directions and Call are the only two buttons.

At the counter
Meat market and wild game processing pages.
The market pages use photos from the real meat case. The four promises under the hero are family-owned, cut at the counter, wild game processed on site, and tagged and traceable. Wild game processing has its own section for deer, elk and exotics, with drop-off details for hunters.
Wyatt & Sons · Subscriptions
Meat subscription boxes for Wyatt & Sons.
Wyatt & Sons is the online meat market from the same project. Three monthly boxes are priced on the page, with the pounds per box stated up front. Customers can skip or swap anytime, and the most popular box is set apart in black.

Wyatt & Sons · Recipes
Recipes linked to the cuts they sell.
Recipes include Central Texas brisket in five numbered steps and a reverse-seared ribeye. They filter by beef, pork, poultry, BBQ and sausage, and each one links to the cut it uses.

“The market website puts directions, hours and the phone number on every screen.”
