Our website design process.

Eight steps from first call to launch. Copy comes first, then page structure, then visual design. Most sites launch three weeks after kickoff, and the schedule pauses while we wait on your feedback.

    Discovery call

    A call with the people who will design and build your site. We agree on the goal, like more calls or more sales, and what is in the way today.

    Proposal and estimate

    Within 24 hours you get a written scope, a price and a dated timeline. Nothing starts until you have seen all three.

    Customer research

    We read your reviews, your competitors’ reviews and your call notes to find the words your buyers already use.

  4. 4

    Copywriting

    You approve the page copy as plain text, including the headline, offer, objections and call to action. No design exists yet, so all feedback is on the words.

    Wireframes

    The approved copy gets an order and a hierarchy. No color, no imagery. Only the structure is up for discussion.

  6. 6

    Visual design

    We design the pages around the approved copy. Three rounds of revisions are included.

    Development

    Responsive and accessible, with schema, analytics and conversion events wired in before launch.

    Launch and handoff

    Every account and password is yours, with video walkthroughs recorded on your actual site. Then 90 days of bug fixes.

It depends on what you sell. Nothing to sell online means a custom build. Under 100 products means WordPress with WooCommerce, or custom. Over 100 products, an ERP to sync or wholesale pricing means Shopify. The proposal names the platform and the reason.
